Green Building Council of Sri Lanka recognized the Bank of Ceylon with the "Gold Aword" for its Wadduwa Branch at the  "Annual Green Building Aword 2022". Green Certification fosters the creation of an eco-friendly environment by intergrating various green features to improve the relationship between inhabitants and the nature. Integration of best engineering practices into the HVAC system, Selection of building materials with recycled contents, Selection of highly efficient water fixtures, waste management, and rainwater harvesting enabled to reduce the contribution to global warming and ozone depletion potential in the built environment. At meantime provides it also provide inhabitants with cleaner, more comfortable, and more productive surroundings.
